- ➤ Business leaders in Howard County continue to shape the local economy as key investments and projects move forward. Landowners including Brian King, Anthony Downing and David Long leased farmland to Engie (for a solar panel project) to support farming in uncertain times along with progress at the downtown hotel and conference center. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Duke Energy Indiana is offering $320,000 to help customers pay winter energy bills through the Share the Light Fund, with donations from shareholders + employees. The company is working with the Indiana Community Action Association to provide funds for qualifying customers. Kokomo Tribune
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ IU Kokomo Cougars beat the RedHawks in a home game on Dec. 10 and won again on Dec. 20 in Gary. The team (8-3) will face Campbellsville University on Dec. 29 and Cumberland University on Dec. 30 before playing Oakland City at home on Jan. 6. Kokomo Lantern
