- ➤ Scouts from Troop 528 in Greentown collected nonperishable food donated by community members last Saturday and sorted it at the Howard County Fairgrounds to make Christmas baskets for local families. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ Indiana State Police advise holiday shoppers to secure their purchases by parking in well-lit areas, locking vehicles, and using credit cards or PayPal online (checking that websites show https for encryption). They urge anyone noticing suspicious activity to call 911. Giant.fm
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ 4C Health achieved its Subacute Stabilization certification (from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addictions) on Dec. 10, which will expand crisis care services with longer treatment periods for mental health and substance use emergencies. Pharos-Tribune
