  • Alpha Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will cover operating expenses for free rides on the Cass County Carousel on Dec. 26-27, offering families a fun outing after Christmas. This gift creates a local holiday event for the community.  Pharos-Tribune
  • Kroger celebrated the $2 million remodeling of the Pay Less store on North Scatterfield by donating $55,000 to Second Harvest and providing 50 bags of groceries to the American Legion post on Dec. 17 (company president Colleen Juergensen confirmed the move).  Kokomo Tribune

HEALTH NEWS

  • 4C Health earned Subacute Stabilization certification from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addictions on Dec. 10, expanding its 24/7 crisis care services. The center now offers extended support beyond walk-in urgent care for local residents in need.  Giant.fm

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Dec. 10, the IU Kokomo Cougars lost 74-72 to the IU Southeast Grenadiers after a dramatic last-minute comeback nearly erased an early deficit (they have been on a three-game winless streak). The team will face Goshen College today.  Kokomo Lantern
