- ➤ Howard County's Community Foundation tripled donations to unlock over $2.2M for local nonprofits after reaching its $750,000 goal during its inaugural Howard Giving Day on Oct. 28. The foundation will continue working with donors and nonprofits to boost community support in 2026. Kokomo Lantern
- ➤ Kokomo resident Anne Jones shopped at Kohl’s Saturday morning as part of the annual community event that brought families and police together—her son Spencer shared a pleasant moment with officer Steven Holland who exchanged a cheerful smile. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration has launched Smart SNAP as part of Governor Braun's Make Indiana Healthy Again initiative, meaning SNAP benefits will not cover sugary drinks or candy beginning Jan. 1.
