- ➤ Papa Bud continues his family tradition in Kokomo by giving new fishing rod and reel combinations to his children and great grandsons when they catch their first fish, including Emmett Wayne Zeck who recently caught his inaugural fish and smiled with pride. Kokomo Lantern

- ➤ Abby Green, a senior at Maconaquah High School, was named Distinguished Young Woman of Miami County and will join the DYW state scholarship program in February after her National Honor Society interview prepared her for the honor. Kokomo Tribune
