- ➤ The Duke Energy Foundation announced nearly $50,000 in grants to 10 Indiana organizations that support veterans and military families. The Family Service Association of Howard County received $3,250 to revitalize the Peace Garden in Kokomo at Jackson Street Commons—honoring Pearl Harbor survivors and the 100th Infantry Battalion. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school seniors and college students planning to teach can now apply for the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship—granting $10,000 per year for up to four academic years if they commit to teaching in Indiana for at least five years. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are available online until Jan. 31 and recipients will be notified by April. Giant.fm
