CULTURE NEWS

  • Yesterday, Rhine Hall hosted an immersive stage production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show celebrating its 50th anniversary, with audience members interacting during the live reenactment and a pre-show meet-and-greet. The event was held at 507 N. Union St. — where tickets were $55 for general admission or $70 for the VIP package — and offered fans a unique tribute to the cult classic.  Kokomo Lantern

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Bryson Herr started his internship at Century Career Center today—he was pictured with mentor Jason Miller while his parents, Jade and Brad Herr, looked on with support. This profile highlights his first steps in a hands-on career program.  Pharos-Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Drivers are urged to stay alert as deer become active at dawn and dusk during their mating season this fall; Indiana State Police advise slowing down and not swerving when one deer is seen—since more may be nearby. In case of a collision, drivers should contact local authorities to file an accident report for insurance purposes.  Giant.fm

HEALTH NEWS

  • Heather McAninch—a fourth-generation breast cancer survivor on her mother's side—was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of last year and had skin cancer removed five times before. She continues to manage her health as part of a long family history of the disease.  Kokomo Tribune

  • Bud Fields visited Bass & Bucks Hunting and Archery Pro Shop in Wabash after finishing his archery season and needing a special equipment part. He praised the shop’s large facility and knowledgeable staff—qualities that make the drive for sports gear worthwhile.  Kokomo Lantern
  • At the Logansport IHSAA Cross Country Sectional on Oct. 18, Lewis Cass won the girls’ 5K race with a team score of 51 and Western topped the boys’ race with a score of 25—local schools advanced to the regionals in Brownsburg on Oct. 25.  Kokomo Lantern
