- ➤ Kokomo is celebrating fall with many events for locals to enjoy—such as outdoor markets, craft fairs and festivals happening from late September to October. Residents can visit events like the J. Edwards Annual Fall Market on Sept. 26 and the Fall Festival Craft Show on Oct. 11 to embrace the season. The Kokomo Post
- ➤ On Saturday, the Kokomo Family YMCA will host its annual Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run in downtown Kokomo starting at 10 a.m., held at 114 N. Union St.—the event’s main venue. The fun run will feature a Monster Mini run for kids, a bounce house, a costume contest, vendor booths, and DJ music, welcoming runners, walkers, strollers, and dogs. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ Kokomo will host many Halloween festivities beginning October 11 and running through November 2 — featuring trick-or-treat events, indoor candy crawls, and trunk-or-treat contests at local venues — to offer family-friendly fun while the city updates trick-or-treating hours on The Kokomo Post. - ➤ Attorney General Todd Rokita said Indiana's Unclaimed Property Division is on track to break its annual record after returning over $77M so far this year—Division head Amy Hendrix leads the team that is expected to exceed the $81M record by year end. Giant.fm
- ➤ The Social Security Administration's Office of Inspector General warns that a scam letter using fake Supreme Court letterhead and forged signatures is pressuring recipients into providing money or personal details — officials advise shredding the letter and reporting the scam immediately. - ➤ Representatives from 14 cities including Kokomo, Goshen, and Madison met in Logansport’s city council chambers Thursday morning to discuss local code enforcement issues—delegates aimed to improve practices across their communities. Pharos-Tribune

- ➤ Bullpen Ventures signed a deal today to join the Prospect League and form a new baseball team that will play 56 games at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in 2026—announced by former Kokomo High School pitcher Joe Thatcher, Mayor Tyler Moore, and Commissioner David Brauer—and create a community hub with renewed local rivalries.
