- ➤ GolfUp31 has partnered with local organizers to launch an October Coloring Contest for children featuring a themed page with The Koko-Mantis and Old Ben trick-or-treating—participants can win free bay time prizes at Kokomo's top indoor golf venue. Entries are due through October 19 and people’s choice voting runs from October 21 until October 28, with winners announced on October 30 on Facebook. The Kokomo Post

- ➤ Downtown Kokomo will host the First Friday Masquerade on Oct. 3 — a free event where merchants and service organizations provide candy and treats to launch 31 days of Halloween. The community can look forward to a festive atmosphere that welcomes the spooky season. Kokomo Tribune
