- ➤ Royal Center’s Oktoberfest will return to Rea Park on Oct. 4—featuring familiar events such as a youth league baseball tournament and pig wrestling—and organizers plan to add new attractions for the celebration. Pharos-Tribune
- ➤ The Howard County Historical Society brought back its popular Cemetery Walk to highlight notable figures buried in Crown Point Cemetery—actors shared stories of lives that helped shape Kokomo from its early days to the mid-20th century. Kokomo Tribune
- ➤ On September 23rd, newspaper professionals gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis for the Hoosier State Press Association Conference and Awards after morning seminars and a luncheon. Awards were presented during the ceremony—recognizing achievements in journalism across the state. Kokomo Tribune
