Earlier this summer, Duke Energy and the Kokomo Rescue Mission distributed 100 box fans to help residents cope with near 90 degree heat in Kokomo—Northview Church provided bags of food while the Duke Energy Foundation contributed $2,500 for the purchase, and the event at the mission ran from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
