- ➤ Relay for Life of Howard County is planning an event that brings survivors and supporters together wearing purple Survivor shirts—showing their hope to raise funds for research toward a cure. - ➤ Western Panthers won 48-7 over Tipton Blue Devils on Sept. 12 with strong runs by seniors Matt McKitrick and Levi Shoemaker — junior Eli Wenger gained 149 yards — the win boosted Western to 3-1 while Tipton fell to 2-2 ahead of each team’s Friday contest. Kokomo Lantern
