- ➤ The Kokomo Family YMCA is hosting the Halloween Hustle, a 5K run/walk with family activities, costume contests and treats, while a blood donation contest under the Big Ten's We Give Blood campaign starts Sept. 13 as Indiana University and the University of Illinois compete to raise the most donations before a football game on Sept. 20. Local drives will take place at Municipal Stadium, Crossroads Community Church and the YMCA, and donors giving blood between Sept. 13 and Sept. 19 can win tickets to a Michigan State game and a free t-shirt from Abbott—details for local participants.
