  • From January to June, the Community Foundation of Howard County awarded over $235,000 in grants to local nonprofits for programs in housing, education, and fire relief—donations to the Unrestricted Community Endowment Funds will be matched by Lilly Endowment Inc. until Dec. 31 to unlock more grant dollars for community needs.  Kokomo Lantern
  • The Kokomo Humane Society’s Cat Café is a warm spot where locals can relax, sip coffee and spend time with adoptable cats at its corner on Home Ave and Hoffer St. It opens Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—offering a friendly break that supports the shelter.  The Kokomo Post
