- ➤ Police say one person was killed earlier this month after a two-vehicle crash on the county’s northwest side—deputies responded shortly after midnight Aug. 6 near Indiana 22 and County Road 700 West, according to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office media release. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ Kokomo Casting Plant celebrated 60 years today when 2,300 employees, retirees and families joined a Family Day with guided tours and fun displays—games, music and a plaque were on show—while Mayor Tyler Moore praised the plant's work.
