Good morning, Kokomo.
💼 Business
Kokomo Toys & Collectibles, a family-run shop on Geek Street, offers nearly 5,000 sqft of vintage treasures and affordable blind boxes (priced from $10 to $30) that bring nostalgia to locals, and it is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12–5 PM.
🎭 Culture
Last week at Kokomo Howard County Public Library's South branch, families enjoyed the second annual Kokochella festival (a playful nod to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) as librarians refrained from shushing during the lively children’s music event.
🏛️ Government
On July 10, the Indiana BMV launched the Authentic Model Year License Plate Program to let owners of historic vehicles use vintage plates if the plate (found legally from various sources) meets original specifications; eligible vehicles must be 25 years or older and pass inspection at a local branch.
