  • Officials said the new Level Up Business Branding initiative will soon offer marketing tools and mentorship to small businesses in downtown Kokomo and across Howard County—an upcoming 12-month program detailed in a Kokomo Economic Development Alliance media release.  Kokomo Tribune

  • Amelia Duncan won Miss Howard County 2025 at the final night of the Howard County 4-H Fair queen pageant on Tuesday. She said her careful poise and posture helped her succeed - she will serve as the titleholder at upcoming county events.  Kokomo Tribune

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ivy Tech Community College is accepting applications for the 44th Leadership Kokomo course—a nine-month program for current and future community leaders that runs from August to May. The course offers over 100 hours of leadership training during sessions held every other Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $675 covering materials and a full-day retreat.  Kokomo Lantern
  • Ivy Tech Community College is now accepting applications for the 44th cohort of Leadership Kokomo, a nine-month program offered with the City of Kokomo, Kokomo Thriving Center of Indiana Wesleyan University, and the Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce.   • After deadly flooding in Texas killed dozens and displaced thousands, Indiana Gov. Mike Braun said Hoosiers must review emergency warning systems and coordination plans.
