- ➤ Today the Kokomo Park Band presents 'The Greatest Show on Earth' as a free community event in Kokomo—families can also visit the Instrument Petting Zoo at Highland Park Stage at 6:30 p.m. Kokomo Tribune
- ➤ The Howard County 4-H Fair started on July 7 and will run until July 12—drawing families and 4-H members to enjoy rides, games, and animal shows. Local fairgoers already tasted classic fair foods like corn dogs and lemon shakes as the event kicked off. The Kokomo Post
- ➤ Food donations are being taken at the Howard County Fair as part of the Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer event organized by the Junior Leaders of Howard County 4-H and Purdue Extension — locals should bring nonperishable items to the L.E.A.D Center. On Wednesday from 5–9 p.m., Howard County Farm Bureau will give one state fair ticket for every five items donated, and the program aims to collect at least 1000 lbs of food provided by Merrell Brothers. - ➤ On July 7, Howard County Commissioners approved agreements for the Emerald Green solar farm in eastern Howard County that set aside $5 million for road repairs and $3 million for drainage fixes.
