- ➤ The People’s Social at 414 S. Third St. will add a 20-by-30-foot wooden deck at its back door—set to finish by the end of August—to create a new outdoor seating area and improve wheelchair access. Pharos-Tribune

- ➤ Bob Auth and Duane Davis will host the annual Winding Creek Bluegrass Festival from Aug. 14-17 with live music from acts like The Grascals and Joe Mullins and many others.
