- ➤ The Kokomo Common Council approved a 10-year tax abatement that lets Haynes International invest $173 million in new forging technology to add 111 high-paying jobs and build on the site of a former soccer field—an effort aimed at upgrading production to meet growing aerospace demand. - ➤ The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that beginning Monday, June 30, the ramp from SR 931 to southbound U.S. 31 south of Kokomo will close for concrete patching and joint repair and is expected to reopen in mid-July if weather holds—drivers are to follow the detour via SR 26.
