United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties announced Morgan Quinn as interim CEO to lead the organization through its 2025 fundraising campaign.

Quinn, who has served as Director of Community Impact and Engagement, will work to grow local support and maintain services during her tenure—she replaces Dana Neer, who left for new opportunities.

Peru High School has received a grant that will expand its dual credit classes—allowing more students to earn college credits while still in high school.

The new funding builds on the program that already lets students graduate with many college credits each year.

Gov. Braun said all 15 public colleges and universities will keep tuition and fees flat for Indiana students for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years after his request for no increases; this is the first time since at least 2010 that so many schools have frozen tuition + the Commission for Higher Education voted unanimously to support the plan.

INDOT released final reports for its ProPEL U.S. 30 and 31 studies to guide 20 years of transportation planning along northern Indiana corridors.

The reports detail public feedback that updated Level 3 screening and PEL study findings and will be discussed during community office hours through July—offering local residents a chance to engage with the study teams.

The U13 Raptors maintained their undefeated season by winning a hard-fought game against the U13 Rampage on June 21 at the Kokomo PAL fields.

Both teams played with strong teamwork and defense, and the game saw fast passes and smart plays — even in sweltering heat.

On June 17, Dishon Transmission Service beat List Lawn Service in an Elite Eight game in the 10U tournament and then won a Final Four match before defeating Ortman to claim the title — the team showed strong sportsmanship throughout.
