Good morning, Kokomo.

Camp Tycony, the YMCA summer day camp for kids ages 5-14, started this week off Malfalfa Road (children can join arts and crafts, canoeing, archery, and hiking).

With summer break approaching, students can access free meals and snacks through the Summer Food Service Program at local schools, parks, and community sites as the school year ends.

The program will help ensure youth have nutritious options while out of school.

Kokomo Family YMCA has opened a new Rehab and Recovery Studio where members can use free wellness services such as TheraJet dry hydrotherapy (appointment-only) and Pilates classes, and receive athletic training and blood pressure screenings with support from local health partners.

Baseball teams Western and Eastern (Greentown) will play regional championship games Saturday; Western faces DeKalb in Logansport while Eastern meets Eastbrook at Kokomo Municipal Stadium, and each team is one win away from advancing to semistate after strong postseason runs.
