  • KokoGo free bicycle rental resumed on April 25 and is available all summer for anyone 12 and older with a state-issued ID and a credit or debit card at the bike station at 307 S. Main St near downtown—offering adult, tandem, youth, and tricycle options with a default three-hour ride.   • Local students were among 708 full-time IU Kokomo students named to the fall dean's list on May 23rd—an indication of strong academic performance.  Kokomo Tribune

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Kokomo is expecting scattered thunderstorms this evening with partly cloudy skies and areas of smoke and haze that may lower visibility—winds from WNW at 10 to 20 mph and a 70% chance of rain will keep temperatures near 52°F.  Kokomo Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, the Howard County Prosecutor's Office asked the county council to let it hire new staff to address an ongoing staffing crisis. The office seeks to add six full-time deputy prosecutors at $96,790 each, three part-time deputy prosecutors at $56,425 each, three investigators at $56,425 each and nine clerks at $41,521 each.  Kokomo Tribune
