Kokomo police arrested Keica DeShawn Monteiro earlier this week for allegedly kidnapping and physically assaulting another woman—she now faces battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, kidnapping, auto theft and interference in reporting a crime.

Taylor High School seniors and graduates received $1,000 scholarships today from the Lloyd, Grace and Gene Sellers fund — generated by interest from a $750,000 Sellers family grant that supports their postsecondary education.

Ivy Tech Kokomo plans to revive its manufacturing exposure program for high school students by partnering with local businesses to offer job site training plus college credit.
