The 27th Kokomo Strawberry Festival will take place on June 6 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. downtown, offering live music, food booths, arts, and family activities — advance dessert tickets will help visitors skip the ticket line.

The Emmaus Mission Color Walk is set for June 28 at Riverside Park at the Carousel with sign-in at 8:15 a.m. and the walk beginning at 9 a.m.—proceeds from the event will support the Emmaus Food Pantry.

The Mother and Daughter Kitten Shower will take place Sunday from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. at Elite Event Center, 2820 S.

Contract crews began lane closures on State Road 931 in Kokomo on or after May 14 for milling and paving between Markland Avenue and the south junction of U.S. 31.
