The Kokomo Downtown Farmers' Market opened yesterday at 9 a.m. on the market lot at Washington and Mulberry and will run every Saturday until September.
The market sells farm-fresh produce, local foods, handcrafted goods and live music — and offers kid-focused activities.
The Samaritan Caregivers’ Chocolate Celebration is in its 23rd year and is awarding winners in many categories—People’s Choice went to Community First Financial, New Vendor to Cornerstone Caregiving, and Best Table Display to Humble Home.
Critics’ Choice awards were also given for baked goods, beverages, candy, cookies, gluten or sugar free treats, ice cream or pudding, and savory items.
