- ➤ In April, the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance welcomed a delegation from the Korea Economic Institute of America—headed by Arius Derr—to discuss South Korean investment in more than $6 billion StarPlus Energy electric vehicle battery plants. On April 3, over 60 volunteers planted 1,112 flower baskets and 1,664 flowerpots downtown as part of Keep Kokomo Beautiful, and more planting events are scheduled for May 10 and May 14. - ➤ Cass County’s animal control officer had been unable to bring lost cats and dogs to the Humane Society until County Commissioners signed a $50k contract with the shelter last week in Logansport. The agreement will allow the shelter to care for stray pets more effectively across the county. Pharos-Tribune
