Kokomo Musicale announced it is accepting scholarship applications for a $1,000 award available to a graduating senior this year.

The Bernice Haynes Hillis Music Scholarship supports students planning to pursue music and active in school and community musical activities (applications began recently).

Faith Warren resigned from Taylor Community Schools and released an unedited statement today following the board meeting—she said an incident with masking tape was a fun play activity, not an angry reaction among students.

On April 3, the Kokomo Lady Kats beat Eastern 13-7 in an inter-county softball game at Eastern High School.

The team built an early lead and scored big in the fifth inning while Eastern made seven errors (allowing six unearned runs) that cost them the game.

Kokomo High School announced summer youth athletic KATS Camps that will run in June and July and offer training in sports such as track, soccer, football, baseball, basketball, softball, strength and speed workouts, and wrestling.
