- ➤ The North Central Indiana chapter of Ainsley's Angels is hosting an art auction today at Artworks Gallery — 210 N. Main St. — from 3 to 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and proceeds will benefit the local chapter. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ The City of Kokomo has announced its free Summer Concert Series at the Kokomo Performing Arts Pavilion in Foster Park running from June 7 to Sept. 27, featuring acts such as The Blooze Brothers, John R. Miller, Andy Frasco and the U.N., and Everclear. Old Ben Bash on Aug. 30 will feature Andy Frasco and the U.N. with opening act Fresh Hops—offering a family-friendly night of live music, local food and community fun. Kokomo Lantern

- ➤ Six Indiana University Kokomo students showcased their research during the inaugural Regionals at the Rotunda event on March 26 at the Indiana Statehouse, highlighting projects from IU Kokomo, IU East, IU Northwest, IU South Bend & IU Southeast. Their projects covered topics in biology, computer science, history & biochemistry and showed how these regional campus scholars are emerging in their fields. Kokomo Lantern
