ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Monday night, a fire broke out at Kokomo Manor Apartments on the 600 block of Elk Drive and several people jumped to safety from a second-story window—first responders found heavy smoke and believe the fire started in a ground floor apartment. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ Cooper’s Pub at 113 E. Sycamore St. announced on its Facebook page that its last day will be March 31—next week the pub will close its doors. The bar, known for its traditional fare and unique burgers, will end its operations soon. Kokomo Tribune
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Caston Elementary School announced its third grade All A Honor Roll for the 2024-25 third quarter today, naming high-performing students such as Asher Ault and Ryker Ball—others were also recognized. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library at 220 N. Union St., AARP TaxAide volunteers—working on an appointment-only basis—will offer free income tax preparation help for low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those age 50 and older, and they will be available—9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays—through April 15.
