- ➤ Local AARP Tax Aide volunteers, IRS certified, offer free income tax help for taxpayers 50+ at select sites. A cold weather advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, and a winter storm watch runs from Saturday evening through Sunday evening + travelers should use caution. Kokomo Tribune

- ➤ Howard County high school basketball returns today with several games including Taylor’s Hardcourt Homecoming matchup against Indianapolis Riverside after a three-game win streak.
